HEATING FILM - UNDERFLOOR HEATING

The core of our infrared foil for underfloor heating consists of PET foil and  carbon layer. Made from high-quality carbon with distinctive properties, the PET layers are highly resistant to mechanical damage. They also offer excellent electrical insulation and fire resistance, ensuring the system’s safety. The heating foil is powered by a copper busbar and is controlled by a thermostat.

Components:

  1. Copper busbar
  2. Carbon layer
  3. Cutting point
  4. PET / laminate

What sets heating film apart? Unlike traditional underfloor heating systems that warm the air, infrared radiation directly heats the objects and surfaces in the room, making the heat distribution more efficient and effective.

ADVANTAGES OF HEATING FILM

  • Cost-Effective: Heating films are much more affordable compared to other heating systems, making them a budget-friendly option.
  • Minimal Heat Loss: By generating heat directly at the point of installation, heating film minimize heat loss during energy transmission and prevent cold spots that can lead to mold.
  • Durability: High-quality heating films are built to last, with a lifespan exceeding 50 years, ensuring long-term reliability.
  • Automation and Precision: Modern smart thermostats enable precise temperature control and energy efficiency. With a mobile app, you can manage your heating from anywhere in the world.
  • Rapid Heating: Heating foils warm up quickly and provide almost instant heat once activated, offering immediate comfort.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING – TRIVOLT

  • Space-Saving Design: Our floor heating system is installed within the floor, with the thermostat mounted on the wall. This design preserves valuable space and avoids encroaching on the usable area of your home.
  • No Service Costs: Heating films require no servicing or maintenance, as they contain no liquid or gaseous chemicals. This means zero ongoing costs for upkeep.
  • Silent Operation: The foils operate without mechanical parts such as pumps or compressors, ensuring completely noiseless and quiet performance.
  • Low Profile: With its minimal construction height, the heating film can be installed directly beneath a floating floor, maintaining a sleek and unobtrusive setup.
  • Quick and Easy Installation: Our system is designed for straightforward installation, requiring no complex construction work. It can be easily fitted into any space with minimal effort.

TRIVOLT ONE HEATING FILM

TRIVOLT ONE is a robust carbon heating film, featuring a reinforced construction with a thickness of 0.38 mm, making it ideal for installation under floating floors. Its greater thickness compared to standard heating films contributes to its durability and performance. The top protective layer enhances the system’s resilience and longevity, ensuring it can withstand rough handling and maintain its effectiveness over time.

MAIN ADVANTAGES OF INFRARED HEATING

  • Exceptional Value: High quality at a competitive price.
  • Enhanced Durability: Durable PET layers with an additional protective top layer ensure long-lasting, trouble-free operation.
  • Safe Connection: A silver ladder structure links the carbon layer to the copper busbar, preventing electrostatic sparks.
  • Even Heat Distribution: The “safe spread” carbon matrix is designed to distribute heat evenly, avoiding hot spots and uneven floor overheating.
  • Flexible Installation: Foil can be cut at designated locations for precise adjustments to room dimensions.
  • Extended Warranty: Up to 15 years warranty when installed by an authorized distributor / partner.

PERFORMANCE OF THE HEATING FILM – UNDERFLOOR HEATING

  • 80 W/m² (Models: TRO 100L, TRO 50L)
  • 140 W/m² (Models: TRO 100H, TRO 50H)

For standard floating floors and well-insulated new buildings, the 80 W/m² option is generally adequate. Heating film should not heat the floating floor surface beyond 27-28°C, a maximum temperature typically recommended by the floor manufacturer.

The 140 W/m² foil is typically used under a layer of Fermacell floor boards to prevent direct contact with the floor. This higher-performance foil is ideal for older or less-insulated spaces. A thermostat with a floor sensor maintains the temperature within the recommended maximum of 27-28°C.

TRIVOLT EVO HEATING FILM

TRIVOLT EVO is a carbon heating film with robust construction and thickness of 0.45 mm, engineered for high-stress environments. Its reinforced top layer ensures exceptional durability, making it ideal not only for installation under screed but also in high-traffic areas such as shops and salons. The heating film can be installed directly under floating floors or vinyl, as well as under the screed.

MAIN ADVANTAGES

  • Professional Quality at a Competitive Price: Offers exceptional performance and durability.
  • Enhanced Durability: High-quality PET topcoat extends the lifespan of the heating film, ensuring reliable operation.
  • Safe and Efficient Connection: A silver ladder structure connects the carbon layer to the copper busbar, preventing sparking.
  • Even Heat Distribution: The “safe spread” carbon matrix ensures uniform heat distribution and prevents uneven floor overheating.
  • Customizable Installation: Foil can be cut at designated points for precise fitting to room dimensions.
  • Extended Warranty: Enjoy up to a 25-year warranty when installed by an authorized partner / distributor.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT HEATING FILM PERFORMANCE

TRIVOLT EVO heating films are available in two performance levels, tailored for different installation needs. These foils are designed primarily for use in screed to create an effective accumulation heating system.

80 W/m² (TRE 100L, TRE 50L, TRE 30L)

For modern, well-insulated, low-energy buildings, a performance of 80 W per square meter is generally sufficient. This foil efficiently transfers heat to the screed, which then acts as a heat reservoir. It is important that the heating foil does not raise the floor surface temperature above 27-28°C. Adherence to the floor manufacturer’s specifications and use of a thermostat with a floor sensor are essential.

140 W/m² (TRE 100H, TRE 50H, TRE 30H)

For older, poorly insulated buildings, mountain lodges, or larger areas requiring more rapid heating, the 140 W/m² foil is ideal. This variant provides higher output to ensure quicker heat delivery. Like with the lower output foil, a maximum floor temperature of 27-28°C is necessary, which is regulated by a thermostat with a floor sensor.
