COMPOSITION AND PRINCIPLE OF THE HEATING FILM

Thanks to its small thickness and simple installation, it is possible to use the heating film in practically any space. The most common solution used in most buildings is underfloor heating. Trivolt infrared heating film is produced in two widths, 50 cm and 100 cm.

Heating film is made of those layers:

  1. COOPPER BUSBAR – serves as a power supply for the heating carbon layer along the entire length of the belt.
  2. CARBON PASTE – thick heating foil material that must be mixed in the correct ratio for the required performance.
  3. CUTTING POINT- marked place for cutting the heating film.
  4. TOP PET FOIL COVER – is actually a top layer of film that provides protection against moisture, access of water vapor, gas and liquids, is resistant to high temperatures and at the same time serves as protection against mechanical damage.

PERFORMANCE OF THE HEATING FOIl

TRIVOLT heating foils are offered in two performance levels:. To simplify the designation, we have power variants labeled 80W = L (low) and 140W = H (High)

Trivolt ONE with a thickness of 0.38 mm has the marking:

  • 80 W/m2 (TRO 100L, TRO 50L)
  • 140 W/m2 (TRO 100H, TRO 50H)

Trivolt EVOwith a thickness of 0.45 mm has the marking:

  • 80 W/m2 (TRE 100L, TRE 50L)
  • 140 W/m2 (TRE 100H, TRE 50H)

For standard floating floors and well-insulated new buildings, the 80 W/m² option is generally adequate. The 140 W/m² foil is typically used under floating floors or under a layer of Fermacell floor boards to prevent direct contact with the floor. This higher-performance foil is ideal for older or less well-insulated spaces.
